Kasey Cosentino is a New York native, currently residing in Los Angeles. Beginning dance at the age of 2, with Miss Bev’s dance studio in Buffalo NY, Kasey is well trained in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, stretching and musical theater. At the age of 16 she started teaching and choreographing. For the last 22 years, she has been teaching at a competitive level, working with studios throughout New York, Canada, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Kasey was invited to dance for Emmy award winning choreographer Mandy Moore in the Bahamas at 18 yrs old. She also worked and performed in Disney World, Florida for 2 years right out of high school. Kasey attended the Art Institute in NYC earning her degree in Architecture with a minor in Fine Arts. While attending college she trained at Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway with choreographers such as Mia Michaels, Dina Rizzo, Brian Friedman, Tessandra Chavez and Savion Glover.  Kasey is well known in the competition community as she continues to choreograph for many competitive studios throughout the country. While invited to teach at an all Chinese dance studio in Cupertino, CA, Kasey won the choreographers award at KAR Nationals two years in a row and was also featured in Dance Teacher Magazine for her "suitable sassiness." Kasey has directed and judged numerous competitions, becoming CEO/Director of Star USA’s international dance competition. Her other skills include set design and prop/costume design, which you can see in the feature film “Neon Bleed” along with numerous short films by Phillip Chbeeb. Kasey has also taken on directing and producing her own concept videos with her company “the WERKshop LA.” All while managing A-list events such as Seth MacFarlane's Christmas party, Jay-Z’s superbowl party, JLo’s fundraiser and numerous brand rep deals. Kasey loves bringing joy and empowerment to dancers of all ages, and she is always ready to WERK it!
